 Lissa Weimelt combines 20 years of search expertise with a background in Human Resource management, sales, and business management. Lissa’s work experiences include leadership roles for international corporations, but she particularly enjoys the challenges found in ‘wearing many hats” for more entrepreneurial environments. These insights bring her clients a full scope perspective: a search professional who values people and one who understands the importance of sound business practices.
As a consistent business partner, Lissa received numerous industry awards for search expertise and customer service excellence. After a diverse 17-year career with an international search firm, Lissa joined Marni Hockenberg to form The Hiring Experts in 2002. Previous job responsibilities in making hiring decisions and managing staff contributes to Lissa's avid interest in Executive Search. "Marni and I work hard, but that's a lot easier when you love what you do."
Lissa is an active community volunteer. She is a Board Member of the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer. She was 2006 and 2007 Silent and Live Auction Chair for the Hope Chest and received the "The Heart of the Event" Award from Minnesota Monthly Magazine. She also was the 2007 Commercial Chair for the Minneapolis Institute of Arts ‘Art in Bloom.’ Her responsibilities as an elected Board member of a Community Hospital add to her decision making and team work skills. Away from work, Lissa enjoys being a mom to her teen-age daughter, conversations on the dock at the Lake, and keeping her calendar packed with activities with her husband and friends.
